Our first event as a Building Tomorrow chapter was a roaring success. Last night, friends, family, and BT supporters filled Stella’s Coffee Haus to learn more about the wonderful cause and to donate their time and money to help the great work that is already in progress. The evening started out with a rush of people, thanks to the upbeat and festive Irish folk music from the band Canned Haggis. After a few sing-alongs and some lively conversation, the first raffle prizes were given away to some lucky guests, who were able to celebrate their wins while watching an informative video on Building Tomorrow’s current work in Uganda. The second half of the event was a slight change of pace from the first thanks to the stellar beats of the Gritch, who won the crowd over with an acoustic medley of songs. To end an overall fantastic night, the last prizes were awarded and people left sufficiently entertained and with the information and motivation to help Building Tomorrow reach their ultimate goals. On behalf of Building Tomorrow I would like to thank everyone who contributed to such a wonderful evening. Particularly to Canned Haggis and the Gritch, as well as Patagonia, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sue’s Do’s Salon, Pepsi, Stella’s Coffee Haus, and to those who donated and brought us one step closer to building a school in Uganda. Thanks!
